BEAR LAKE

Ty and I spontaneously decided to head up to Bear Lake Saturday night. My cousins were up there and so we pretty much called them and said we were coming ;) It was so beautiful up there. I hadn't been to Bear Lake since high school... so almost 9 years. Long time I know. That night we sat and watched the sun set...and it was awesome. After that Ty and my cousin Sadie went to watch a movie and not surprisingly fell asleep so Derek, Garrett, and I decided to play some Poker and Black Jack. I'll have you all know that I kicked some toosh at Black Jack. I was theWINNER. My winnings...30 Gummi Bears. That's right!. Then to make the little get away even better I woke-up in the middle of the night sick to my stomach. Oh yay... So Sunday I was pretty much sick, sick, sick...but that didn't stop me from at least going down to the gorgeous beach to relax a bit. Ty and I came home that night...I totally would've stayed a day longer except for the nagging nausea in my stomach, blech. All in all...it was so fun and a great little get away even for a day. THANKS SADIE AND DEREK!!

Where have I been???

Okay so I haven't posted in quite a while. I guess you could say that it is because I am still upset over the loss at the Stanley Cup Finals, but that's not it I PROMISE. I have been crazy busy with pictures. Our BFF James is getting married in two weeks and I did their Engagements and Bridals and so I have been busy getting them all ready to get printed and I had a wedding to do in the middle of that so I have been tied to the computer editing pictures instead of blogging. (Plus I am still getting the hang of this whole blogging thing.) So just for those who once in a while read my so exciting blogs (winky face) that is the reason as to why it has been a while. Don't worry, I will try not to disappear like that so much. Crazy things are happening (no not babies) and life gets complicated and busy but I am still here.

And what's a post without a picture to go along with it...

STANLEY CUP FINALS

It's a sad day...the Red Wings lost the Stanley Cup this year. It was an awesome game though. I wish I had been there, although I think I would've had a panic attack due to the close game. Too bad Datsyuk wasn't able to play all of the games maybe they would've done better. As for the Penguins, the new champions, way to go! They played awesome (don't worry I'm not switching teams just cause mine lost, but the Pens played so good minus the one game where Detroit totally shut them out 5-0), and as for Crosby...nice job, but grow up a bit (you only got the wind knocked out of you)! As for Malkin, he totally deserves getting the MVP!! He has had some awesome games this year.
Okay enough about the winning team...yeah, yeah I know they won in Detroit, but lets not forget the great game last year when it was the Pens and Wings going for the cup and Wings totally kicked some Pen trash on THEIR ice and won the cup! Awesome game. Now for the Detroit fans who so rudely booed the Pens as they received the cup. GROW UP!! Detroit didn't play too well, they lost, Pens won, get over it and congratulate the new Stanley Cup Winners. I was appalled to see all of the Red Wings fans booing the Penguins...I was ashamed to be a fan for that moment, but don't worry I would've been probably the only person in a Red Wings shirt cheering for the new Cup holders...isn't that what good sportsmanship is all about.? I thought so. Now for those of you Penguins fans, I hope you are genuine fans and not those fans who just jumped on the band wagon...you know who you are :)
Now for next year, I hope to see Detroit back in the finals (if not I will still be watching every game up till the point they are out...but they better be in)! Datsyuk...I hope to see more of him next year. He hurt his foot and was out for almost 8 games straight...DURING THE STANLEY CUP FINALS. He only played the last three games, and Detroit needed him!! He is the favorite player here at the King household. He was deemed the most unselfish player this year...which I think is awesome...and he has some awesome moves on the ice! and Osgood...way to go goalie. He had some incredible saves throughout the whole entire year!! Same with Conklin!
Well obviously I love love love HOCKEY and the RED WINGS and DATSYUK and OSGOOD and pretty much HOCKEY HOCKEY HOCKEY!!!!! Great game RED WINGS!!! WAY TO GO!!

Game against Colorado Avalanche. Red Wings win 4-0!!

Pavel Datsyuk #13 Assistant Captain
This is when they tossed a puck up and over the plexi to me. It was so cool!! It's cause I looked so cute in my RED WINGS gear. I gave the puck to my brother Skyeler...the Ultimate Wings FAN!

WE LOVE HOCKEY

Thunderbirds 2009...

This last Friday Ty and I went with my mom and dad to Hill Air Force Base to watch the Thunderbirds fly.  It was so awesome!  I have always loved watching them.  Ever since I was a little girl I can remember watching them from home and wanting to be up there flying the jets (one of my dream jobs).  It was so cool to be there so close to them.  The show was amazing...better than I imagined (I'll let you in on a little secret...I cried when the took off I was so excited to see them.  I know, I know, I just love them that much :)  ).  My dad was so cute.  Every time they flew by he started clapping and shouting words of excitement.  One time four of the jets flew right over us and as we were staring at them the other two came from behind and scared everyone.  We covered our ears and crouched low (as if they were going to hit us).  All around us kids were literally dropping to the ground screaming and crying.  It was hilarious.  Anyway, the show was awesome.  If you have never been to it I highly recommend that you go.  I think it is something you have to see at least once in your life (maybe I think that because I would love to be up there with them).

I posted a few pics, you can check out more at Cahoon Studios.  I took well over 300...I just loved every second of it!!  Enjoy
